World Foods Festival

World Foods Festival is a conceptual design initiative celebrating global cuisine through bold typographic expression. Positioned at POST HTX, the brand transforms food into evocative letterforms—where typography doesn't just announce a cuisine, but embodies its flavor profile and cultural character.

Deliverables:

Identity, Typography, Environmental

Savory

This poster represents pizza, a European delicacy rooted in Italian culture. Each ingredient is expressed typographically to highlight the layered savory flavors found in this widely recognized dish. The composition emphasizes how individual elements combine to create depth and richness.

Umami

Centered on Japan, this poster explores the umami flavor profile through typographic interpretations of udon noodles and their common ingredients. The intertwined letterforms reflect umami’s depth, balance, and complexity. Movement and layering emphasize the harmony between flavor and culture.

Spicy

Inspired by Latin and Hispanic cuisines, this poster visualizes spice as a dynamic and evolving flavor. Ingredients are transformed into typography that flows alongside rice, a staple component of many dishes. The composition shows how spice extends beyond a single ingredient, shaping the entire meal.

Sweet

Drawing from the Oceania region, this poster highlights lesser-known sweets through light, airy typography. Berries and sugars are represented as soft, floating forms to convey delicacy and restraint. The design reframes sweetness as a subtle and intentional indulgence.
