For my type II class I was tasked with coming up with a poster design for an event that had to mainly consist of typographic elements. The theme I chose was a world foods festival with each poster featuring one dish from one culture.
For this design I had to really figure out how to make the typography shine through while also expressing the theme of the festival. I chose three foods from three continents: Europe, Asia, Oceania, and South America. From there I chose dishes that were popular in those continents and designed each element to express these foods, their overall taste, and their ingredients typographically.
